Post Gymnast

Hi I went to my sister's gymnastics show and here's one of the gymnasts I caught. Sorry about the blurriness but I'm still getting used to my camera and I didn't have time to adjust the shutter speed.
Thanks

Hi Jack, welcome to dPS. Please take a moment to review the Critique Forum Rules. As for this particular photo, it is honestly not something that I would keep. Could you provide a little more info on this photo? What camera, settings, etc.

Looks sorta like a painting... I think I'd prefer a "crisp" image...

I guess I am a little confused, because when you apologize for the blurriness it makes it seem as if that is not what you wanted... but then you asked if people like the blur. The main thing, is what were YOU after? If you were trying for something blurry and artistic... sort of impressionistic, then it seems you have gotten close to that goal. If your objective was to capture the real action of the athlete, then the blurriness is a distinct problem. On the artistic front, it seems ill composed to me, plus there are other distractions in the frame. If you like the effect, then keep working at it, and aim for that outcome when you are shooting next time.

Wow, looks like it was shot on ISO one million!

Cool effect, though, and great job capturing the action at its peak.
