Default Softball

First post. I love to take pictures of my kids and their sports teams. Softball, baseball, football, and basketball. I have a Canon EOS Rebel XTi. I shot this and most outside shots on the cameras sports setting. The ISO is auto and I think a F4.0, Tamron 75-300. It's the low light times, and gym's that give me the most trouble. I'll submit some of those at a later time for some help.

Shoot down the first base line and you would get a much better perspective. As has been said around here a number of times by others much smarter than me - Get eyes and the ball all in the frame and you are golden.

Oh - and due to the helmets, try to get as low as you can (without looking silly) as that will allow you to see up and into the helmet as much as is possible.

If you have to stay on the 3rd base side, try to get their follow through, if you can catch them following the ball they just hit, it works. For ball on bat attempts, 1st base line works better for right handed hitters. Watch for the back shoulder to start dropping and by the time you snap the image, you should be close to BOB.
