First ever post.
Would really like to hear any comments on this shot taken at a recent motor racing event just up the road from me. I am recently back into photography after being out for a long time. Used to do film and colour slide. New to Digital, about a year.

1. Is the cropping ok
2. Could the colour be any better, and
3. The composition?

Nikon D3000, Sigma 70-300, f/14, 1/250 sec, ISO-400, Focal length-300mm.

From My MotorRacing

Thank you
Allan

Very nice.

Cropping; Looks OK. Might try a tighter crop just to see.
Composition: A little off center, giving the bike room to drive into the frame. Good job.
Color: Not sure. Strikes me as not quite right, but I can't put a finger on it, so might be me.

You didn't ask about panning, but I really like the panning effect you managed.

I agree with Steve. I'm not sure about the color because i don't trust my laptop. It looks like it might be a tic overexposed. I think you did a very good job. I shot some F1, Indy Cars and Nascar at Indianapolis and those kind of shots are pretty hard to do!

Thank you for the comments. I'm also not too sure about the colour. the only PP I did was an auto fix in PSE8, which did not change much from the original. I have had a little practice with panning in the past as I have always enjoyed that part of action photography. Thanks again.
