Default Pan a running woman

I've been trying to pan people and yet this far my most favorite not because she's my sister but it's the sharpest shot I made. Some says don't cut the legs and try a full body motion. I need your comments and suggestions.

panning test

Camera: Nikon D5000
Focal: 30mm
Aperture: f/4.5
Exposure: 1/15 +1step

I really like the effect, but don't stop now, you're just getting good at it. Yes, I'd like to see your sister's feet and I'd be just as happy if she wasn't looking into the camera, but this is a good shot and one you should be proud of.

Generally, if you decide to crop a subject's limbs, you want to do it about halfway between a joint, such as mid-calf or mid-thigh. If you crop too close to a joint, such as an ankle, knee or hip, then the shot will look a little awkward.

You cropped in the right place here, and as for crop or no crop, that's a matter of preference, although I agree, it might be a bit stronger if we were able to see her entire body.

At any rate, great job with the pan!
