Amazingly, I really don't mind the color on the flag. However, I'm not really sold on the composition. I think it would work better if the boy wasn't so close to the right edge and bottom.

very cute ^.^ I like the color of the flag and the crispness of the black and white, but I do agree with Sterling. The composition is a bit off, I prob. would have cropped it just a bit differently to bring the boy into the main focus a bit more.

I like images like that which have a bit of color. Other than whats already been said, you could try firing off a sequence so that you get the whole flag in an upright open state in one of them, since the kid is in motion.
