Default Another MMA shot

Shot an event the other night. Here's one of my favorite shots. It's actually the first shot in a killer sequence I caught of this guy--he's actually one of my fighters (Hector Mercado)--picking up and slamming his opponent. But his opponent actually winds up upside down.

Anyway, here's the shot.

50mm
f2.8
1/250
ISO 2500
No Flash

Lovely hand lock on the double leg takedown. Great shot!

What exactly are you wanting a critique on?

What kills it for me is the judge (?) that looks totally unimpressed.

I know what you mean. When I saw the photo I was wondering about it, too. Just outside of the crop there's a guy with a totally different expression. He's got his hands in the air like, "Oh no he's not...uh, yes he is!"

there is a slight blur or white spot at the top right hand side. it's a bit distracting. Great job and good capture. I would mess with the color a bit and try to make it pop just a bit more... if possible. Have you tried experimenting with it?

The blur is the cage. I shoot through the cage.

I've played with it a bit. Not much more to make pop although I could probably do a little more. Have to go back to it now that I haven't messed with those shots for a while.
