My First Post

This is my first post and wanted to know if I'm on the right track with my pics.

I like the composition and the action being shown, but your shutter speed of 1/60 (which you're supposed to post in the text with your other exif information) is way too slow. The rider's face is a complete blur.

Sorry about missing the step of adding the info. I was hoping to use the slower shutter speed to convey the power of the horse. I think it would have been shown more had I not happened to have gotten the capture at the apex of the buck.

Again, I'll make sure that I have the info next time.

I'm not a fan of the selective coloring. If you want to draw attention to the subject, I would use a larger aperture to blur the background - which will also let in more light and allow you to increase your shutter speed.
