Determination

Working on developing my cycling photography. I'm most curious about the crop. Is the entire bike needed for a good image in this situation? Generally how is the composition? Any other comments are welcome, especially about post processing.

Thanks

I like it but I think it could be improved by lowering your point of view by about another foot (I know it is already pretty low) and waiting until the cyclist is a bit closer so the chase-van isn't in the shot.

I'm bothered more by the cutting of the foot than the cutting of the wheel. I'd either zoom in closer, or get the whole bike.

Thanks for the comments guys. I didn't even think of the foot. You're totally right now that I look at it. I was using my 100-400mm lens and was cropped way to close to the racer. Once I switched to my small lens my results got better. Thanks for the perspective!

Cheers

PS I too love my 7D

For my own taste, I would like the wheel and the cyclist's foot be included in the frame. The van in the background looks distracting to me.

Cheers!
