Red face old guy playing ball

I took this photo today while at a local park. I love the idea of it (an old man just tossing a ball around for fun) but wanted some feedback. What do you think? Does this capture you and make you smile? Or is it boring? I hope the former, but understand that I may be emotionally attached.

Thanks!

I like it but it would be better if the whole basketball net/backboard were visible.

I do like the idea very much though.

It made me smile before I even read your post. What post work did you do to it? It looks like you worked on the sky and it is very evident that something was done.

funny that you say that, because I couldn't agree more. And the worst part? I have another version that has the whole hoop, but the ball isn't in the pic in that version. And in this version, I get the ball, but lose feet and hoop. Darn.

and by "very evident that something was done" you mean, "You suck at photoshop." Which is true. I actually didn't realize how bad it was until I uploaded this to flickr, so after posting this I went back and cleaned some stuff up. Here is the before photo.

Default With some more changes....

I made lots of changes to this photo (merging two photos together so that I could incorporate the crops mentioned above). Tell me what you think of this as you critique the photos above.

This one looks better as you can see more of the hoop/backboard. Puts it a bit more in perspective. If you're good enough to remove the one in the background, even better, but I like this one better.

Shoot... I pieced together 2 pics to make this one. I guess I might as well take the time to take out background hoop.
