Default Minolta Lenses on a DSLR

I've seen some minolta lenses around that are old.

1st (Sigma 400 F5.6)
I was wondering if I could use them with my DSLR (350) they said they work with the DSLR's
It's from the Minolta 9000 dynax SLR film camera.

The only problem is apparently the auto focus does not work.

Could anyone clarify that ?

2nd (Minolta 400 F5.6)
There was another lens that was from a "Minolta 35mm AF Cameras, pre Dynax" camera which also claims to be digital compatible.
