I have an a900 that has a setting called Color Space. There I can choose between sRGB or RGB. I tried to find that setting on my a700 without luck. Is there a setting somewhere on the a700 to choose between sRGB and RGB? Thanks

Tmoegy: From what I can tell, the A700 doesn't support this function. You have to remember that the A900 is a pro camera, the A700 isn't as much. It's also older. Both these factors mean the option may not be available on the body. If you're interested, however, shooting in RAW allows you to set the colour space in your favourite converter.

In the menu (despite 'Osmosis' shooting from the hip),
under the "Creative Style" setting, you can select the regular settings: "Standard" "Vivid" "Neutral" "AdobeRGB" And under these regular settings are three CUSTOM settings which allow you to manage the brightness, saturation, sharpness, contrast & ZONE settings for any of the Creative Styles. It is, perhaps, the most powerful aspect of the a700 DSLR camera and one that many photographers need to understand better to make use of the a700's broad range of capability. |
