Question Help on Tamron lens

Hi! I got a Sony A200 DSLR and planning to buy a Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD Macro lens. Can someone help me if this lens is a better fit for my DSLR.

Cool It is an okay lens, but only outdoors.

A 70-300 f/4-5.6 telephoto is an outdoor ONLY lens. If you did take it inside, you would have to purchase an external flash to support it properly.

Thumbs up A solid choice

Not an issue, but if you really want to do yourself a favor, I would consider the TAMRON 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) lens, instead. It may cost a little more, but it is so flexible, it can serve as three lenses. Again, it gets a little dark at the long end, so if you use it indoors, I recommend a SONY HVL-F42AM Flash to go with it.

The best part about the 18-250, is you really do not have to change it off for another lens, under normal shooting circumstances. It is called the "Mom" lenses, because it is so convenient in that regard. You can easily image "lil' Johnny" anywhere as he is running around the yard.

Thanks Don. Actually when I went to the shop, the only shop that sells TAMRON lens here, they don't have a stock on the TAMRON 70-300 and the TAMRON 18-250 for Sony mount. I ended up buying the SONY SAL18-250 lens which cost me a lot and got a little financial help from my wife. Hehehe. Anyways, thanks for the tips and opinions regarding the TAMRON lenses.
