I currently have an A700, 70-200mm G, 24-70 Zeiss, and a few others (50mm f1.4, 100mm Marco, and newly added to the pile a fisheye) I' am getting more and more into wedding photographer and can't decide between the A850 or A900 FF cameras. I know the main differences between these two, however will those be 2 extra fps and 2% viewfinder differences be something I miss if I don't go with the A900?

If you want to see some of my work, here is my flickr

Many thanks Don. Got to admit, I have my eye on the Sigma 70 - 300 as it then gives me a range between 18 and 300, up to 600 with my two times conveter, not I I use it much.

I have a Alpha 200 and I love it, I started with the kit lens and 6 months after bought the beercan 70-210. When I first used the beercan I struggled a lot under the new weight and the new focal lengths.

After 3 months of using the beercan I went back to the kit lens and really understood why everyone says that it's useless. I just bought a Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro and I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I think I'll eventually buy another APS-C sensor camera (I don't think I'll move to the full frame ones -- What do you think?), probably whatever Sony comes up with at the a700 level.

Lightbulb Alpha upgrade ...

The SONY A550 w/ LiveView is not a replacement A700. It is more of an upgrade path from the A300 or A350.

The new possible A7xx may come with video ... it's a tough call. It looks to be a while before it arrives. More than likely, after Christmas.

The new A850 is an A900 rewrite ... so either camera is about the same. They are effectively FULL FRAME A700s w/o the built-in flash. A very good choice, no matter what.

I got my A350 last week.

Don't tell Don but I got it with the 18-70mm kit lens, so at least I've got something till I decide what else I want/need/can afford.
