Please, I need some desperate help. My MVC-CD1000 all of a sudden came up with an error code of C:32:01 - Drive Error.
From what I could find on the internet it said to just take out the battery and that should clear the error code, well that didn't happen. Also tried to go back to the factory setting by turning the camera on and take out the battery and hold the slide button for 15 seconds, put the battery back in, that didn't work either (seen that on the internet also). I tried several different disks to no avail. All the other functions work on the camera except for taking pictures and Initialing and finalizing the disk. I know this camera is an older model, but I just love this camera and I can't afford to buy another expensive camera like this one was. Any help anyone can give me will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you. Gary |

Have you tried a new CD-R? Or perhaps if you can clean the laser lens?

Thank you mr_lemmon for responding.
Yes I have tried both of those things. I even took the camera apart (very carefully) and unhooked most if not all the ribbin wires thinking that may reset the camera back to factory settings. The only thing that did was to have me redo the time and date. Error still comes up when you turn on the camera... Would appreciate any other ideas. |
