Hi, I'm new here and I don't own a Sony H50, but I'm sure planing to one day. There aren't any serious reviews of that model on the internet yet, but as far as I found out, it should be pretty much the same as H9 (which is great
) except for some minor improvments. You can find a great review of 9H on www.dpreview.com to get a better feeling of it. I think the biggest improvment from H9 is the 15x zoom lens. I curently own a Kodak streetzoom and I'm planing to buy H50 for the same reasons like you. I think it's a great camera.Milos Last edited by etmilosk; 07-22-2008 at 08:41 AM. Hi Sue90
I recently purchase the H50 and am enjoying using it. Still learing about the camera and photography in general. Here are a few links to reviews i read. The first one compares it to the H9 and teh DSLR a200. The second review is just about the H50. http://pslandscape.wordpress.com/200...ony-h50h9a200/ http://www.photographyblog.com/revie...ot_dsc_h50.php Please feel free to look at my flickr page, most shots were taken with the H50. I also recommend looking for the flickr H50 groups. Feel free to ask any questions and i will do my best to answer them.

Thanks for the links...and your photos are great. I'm hearing a lot of good with this camera and so far it's what I am going to buy. Unless of course something greater comes out by Xmas...I'm depending on Santa to put the Sony under the tree.
Thanks again, and I'll be joining these groups when the time comes. Sue |

Hello again!
I just recently bumped into this review of the H50, and it's the best full review I've found so far: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/H50/H50A.HTM Enjoy it. |

Well here's an update...I tried 2 Sony H50s and brought both back. The first one had a problem with picture quality. The second one the colour was really off. I read a review were a guy brought a Sony back 3x with the same problems. I wasn't really keen on the Macros either there seemed to be such a struggle with it. So I tried a Canon S5 IS...loved it right away. The quality of the pictures is great...the true to the eye colour is amazing and the super Macro is fantastic. I did have a problem with sky's at first with the white blowing out in the clouds with auto. But shooting in manual has solved that with skies. I'm happy with the Canon.
