Default What Kinda Photos would this Lens Fit

I'm Looking for a good all around lens i see lots of people using like a 50mm i have been looking at
SEL-24F18Z (SEL24F18Z, SEL24F18Z.AE) : Cameras & camcorders : Sony

or SEL-50F18 (SEL50F18, SEL50F18.AE) : Cameras & camcorders : Sony

what is really the diffrance is the z able to do good portraits also or which would you reccomned.

or you you get something like

Tamron 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC Lens for Sony E AFB011-700

For portrait shooting, either of the primes would make you happy. But the 24/1.8 is likely to add in some distortion, and unless you tend to shoot full length or in smallish spaces all the time, the 50/1.8 is likely to be more comfortable. The 24mm, though, is a Zeiss lens, so it's likely to seriously rock in terms of color/contrast and be in a completely different class of lens from the 50 (hence the pricetag). Check the EXIF of pictures you've taken with a kit lens to see which focal length is likely to see more use.

Wouldn't go for the 18-200 unless you needed an all-in-one travel lens. It's not as fast as the primes, it's not Zeiss, and it's a superzoom. So, on sheer image quality, it's likely to be not in the same class as either of the other two. It's convenient for covering focal lengths, but it's not going to be as nice as the primes at sharpness, use in low-light, or at blurring out the background.
