Ordered my body last Friday and was told it was backorderd after they charged my credit card $1400. The lady in charge of online ordering said he was sending mine out today, and if she ain't lying, I should have mine in a few days. Hella excited about the whole thing.
I read some comparisons of the A77 and some older Nikons with the Nikon fanboys questioning how 5-10 years up on technology haven't helped Sony but they can say all they want; I'm convinced that Sony has what it takes to join Canon and Nikon up there. My questions were regarding the video recording features, though. The old A33s had problems with the camera body getting a little hot while recording, and I read somewhere that the 55s kinda fixed it, but that the 77 would rectify it completely. How long did you try recording for, and were there any issues? Great product shots of the 77 by the way. Did the 1650 come with the lens hood? Super stoked to get mine. Great review, thanks!

Hey Jeremy,
Thanks for the comments and congrats on your new purchase!! To answer your question, I did not record video much longer than 10 minutes at a time clip, and I did not have any issues at all. The 16-50mm kit lens comes with a lens hood and lens caps front and back. Best, Jay |
