Hey hey everyone! I'm Victor, an upcoming photographer. I think this is like my 3rd post already but I was just wondering if I could get you guys' opinion. Since the death of my previous camera, a mere Samsung Digimax, I've been interested in getting a better quality camera. Yes, it is a huge price jump ($60 to $500+), but I was looking into the Sony A-35. I wanted a the 33, but the 35 is just like it and they dont offer the 18-55mm lens along with the 33 anymore, just the body. Anyways, what do you guys think of this starter camera? Does anyone have any experience with it or the Sony Alpha series? THANKS!

I found the SLT cameras too small and light and plasticy. Plus they only have electronic view finders (EVF). I bought an alpha 580 instead. See if you can go to a shop and pick them both up, my mind was made up in like 0.5seconds :P
SLT's are good for action type photography though

And doesn't SLT stand for Single Lens Translucent?
