Default Sony DSC-S750

Hey all,

I just registered here so if this thread already exists, sorry I didn't found it.

Anyways, I've got a simple digital camera Sony DSC-S750, and I don't really know how to use it because my sister takes it away always. At least not some tricky things. What I actually want is do some long exposure photos, and I don't know how. It's going to be at night definitely. And also I don't know how to adjust exposure and what else to adjust. I've never done that before. Exposure range is -2.00 - +2.00. Can it even be done with this camera?

Please shed some light on this..thank you.

Hi!

I personally don't own that camera, but for what I've seen online there's not much room for manual adjustment in it.

I'd suggest that you read the manual and play around with the P mode of the camera.
Some of the scene modes might work for longer exposures.

One way to force the camera to select a slower shutter speed would be to turn off the flash.

So I played with it a little, adjusted the ISO to the lowest and slowest shutter speed I could get, though I'm really limited with this one, but it quite does the job. Until I get a new camera.

Can I ask what are you tying to achieve?
It might be useful to provide further help

Well, nothing in particular. Just a long exposure shot, though I've done a few now to see how it works and it works pretty cool, I can get some fun stuff with a flashlight.
I'd like to go on the street and take a shot of the city centre at night, but that would take really slow shutter speed which I can't get with this camera. It's only a couple of seconds.
