My husband bought me a Sony Cyber-shot for Christmas, and it's perfect for those "at the right time" photos. But I'm looking to learn how to use this camera for more professional looking photographs. I'm not very familiar with how to use the different camera modes, even though I have read the manual. Does anyone have this camera and is familiar with what it can do????

Way to go! The fact that you want to improve your photography is half the journey.

Take a course or buy and read a good book on photo techniques and composition. Learn what your camera can and can't do. Get and use a good tripod. And, most important, practice, practice, practice.

I have Sony cyber shot digital camera. I like its features it is a fast-performing snapshot camera that falters on photo quality.
