Sony cybershot H55

Hi all.. i have just bought DSC H55 sony cyber shot... i am having a little problem in settings.. i want macro settings manual of it but dont know how to do it.. and also its all manual settings which can be done manually.. and also which settings will provide me good results and some tips of use.. as i am a begginer photographer so i dont have that much experience but a help will do alot for me... i need to shoot some macro photos some close ups with the effect of faded background like in some pictures... can i do it with this camera??? waiting for response.. thanks
