Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 - Is it doing it's "Job"

I own a Sony W120, I can't really afford anything greater right now but to me it seems to be doing its job.. However, In a way I feel as though it really isnt going to improve my picture taking skills much. I cant seem to get vivid landscape photos or pretty much any photos. Would it be better for me to just attempt to purchase another camera or is the vivid pictures and what not what they edit in Photoshop? I know its a dumb and confusing question but I dont feel like my photos with this camera will be taking me anymore.

Id really like some feedback or some suggestions if anyone knows anything about the camera Im using. Ive taken thousands more photos with this camera but I havent gotten around to posting them on my page yet. But I will soon.
