I was reminded of a photo i took a while ago by tattoo i saw recently - Dulce Bellum Inexpertis - War is sweet for those who have not experienced it (loosely translated!) and as it's Rememberance Sunday tomorrow this is my post in tribute.

It's a beatiful shot and very apropo. The poppy is a flower of remeberance for all of our lost veterans. A member of my family lost a leg at Anzio in WWII and each Veteran's Day he could be found selling these poppies at local businesses to support the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was proud of his service and we were proud of him as well. Thank you for the shot.
