Default Che Style Portrait

This is sort of a fun take on portrait photography.

From Portraits

Started from a blank canvas so there is no EXIF data.

From Portraits

Also no EXIF

Technique:
1. Gradient your background to taste
2. Add some grunge brushes to taste, leaving a nice center for your model
3. Place the subject image on a new layer
4. Resize subject to taste
5. Rasterize the layer
6. Mask out the rest of the subject image, leaving only the subject
7. Threshold the image to taste
8. Use the color range selection tool, select white
9. Delete the white to show the background
10. Flatten and save
11. Share your work here!

I'm definitely marking this one down in my 'want to try this' subscriptions!

If you make it look easy, then you're good at it

This looks like a must-try! I see all kinds of effects added to picture, but this on look VERY interesting! You can't tell it's a photo at all. I bet if I had shown this to someone and instisted that it was hand-drawn, they would believe me. Thanks for sharing the procedure.
