Default Your FIRST picture (everyone can play)

What was the very first image snapped when you got your digital camera? I reckon some of them might be less than perfect, but if you're the type to keep every image (or at least the first one), you can post them here (with a story if you have one).

Took this at a gathering (not really a party) at a friends' house, they're playing Wii boxing. I believe I had everything on automatic settings and no flash (hence the blur, which kind of works with the controller motions) to see how it handles.

Edit to add: this is from my second camera, I may not have the first image from my first digital camera, but I think it was of my sister at the dinner table.

I don't think this is my VERY VERY VERY VERY first shot, but I do know it is one of the very very very very first shots. It was taken just after I got my camera; I'd had it for less than an hour, I guess.

shara

That's my (now) 17 year old sister after less than her usual 13 hours of beauty sleep. lol

I don't have my very first shot with my dslr - I took a picture of all the stuff on my window sill. lol

I do have the very first one I took with my digital P&S though (I was stunned by the quality of the photo compared to my film camera!)

I can still remember my excitement over being able to see her whiskers clearly in the picture. lol

Default Christmas 2005

This is probably not the FIRST one i ever took, but it's one of the very first taken with my first ever digital camera, christmas day of 2005. It's a picture of my younger brother Giocanni napping on the couch and his faithful Charlie standing by... i think i may have been playing around with the B&W feature for the first time... not too shabby

btw, i'm having a little trouble with the sizing of the image, so it looks very small... it's my first dps picture post!!

I had to dig for this one... Oldest image from my "newest" camera I could find was number 144. Go figure, like filemanager above, I had an easy target!

Wow, that was 20,000 shots ago!

Allen...

This seems to be it. It's the first on my flickr, at least. I'll check my archives...

This was the first "picture" I took when I got my D80. Evidently there is a feature that lets you take two shots on top of each other that I accidently activated when I thought I was taking two separate pictures. While the shot was an accident it is quite interesting:

first shot new camera

Here is a link to the set.

My new camera was delivered on Nov 28, 2007 by the sweet little man in "Brown". It was a gift from my family, but my mom (pictured above) was the one who actually did the purchasing of it. She is also the one who insisted I open it before Christmas. So, I opened it, put the lens on it and pushed the button. She was my first target and she hated getting her picture taken. I think I took one or two of her a day almost for the next 5 weeks...she died on Jan 14, 2008 of cancer. Thank you for the opportunity to share all that by asking for the picture and story

I don't have the first picture anymore, In fact I don't have any pictures from the first year that I had my camera. We had a hard drive fail and they were all lost. My hubby is a computer guy, he recovers systems and saves peoples files all the time, he couldn't save my pictures.

I want to cry everytime I think about it because among those lost pictures was the day my son moved away from home for the first time. Off to college at 17. I can't even think about all the pictures that are gone. (lesson learned, now my hubby backs up my pictures for me every now and again)

I did look at the pictures that have been put on the new computer and of all things the oldest (first picture) is of the dog! I don't think I even took this one, I think my daughter did.
