So very vibrant, I like it. I would have never thought to combine both with that angle and with that really nice contrast. Is it wrong to be jealous of such spot on color saturation? lol

Default Week of 10 October - My Neighbours

Week of 10 October - My Neighbours

October 10 - My Neighbours

Meet one of the huge flock of cockatoos who live in the trees around my house.

It was a bit of a challenge getting this. The only place I could get close enough for a decently framed shot was in this shady spot where my neighbour has seed out. But this meant that, even with a high ISO, it was hard to keep the shutter speed high enough for a sharp shot.

I like how the cockatoo's personality comes through in this photo. They are great characters.

Default Week of 17 October - On the Shelf

Oct 17 - On the Shelf

A lonely little toy waiting for a new home at the local second hand centre. He is metaphorically, if not physcially on the shelf.

Default Week of 31 October - Texture - 5/53

Oct 31 - Texture - 5/53

This cockerel was gracing the local community festival with his presence. His feathers were gorgeous and he knew it.

Default Week of 7 Nov - Wind - 6/53

Nov 7 - Wind

Okay so you have three days in which to take a photo of wind. What happens - three of the stilest days in living memory. Fortunately, the local agricultural show with its side show rides came to the rescue.

For this photo I used the autoserve function on my camera. I have not really used this function much before, so I was pleased with the results. Now I just have to learn to keep the camera still rather than trying follow after whatever is moving in front of the camera.
