Default Moonrise.

Hi I'd love some comments. Is this over done should I have gone with a more realistic look etc.

Its highly processed mostly to bring the details back.

I adjusted all the levels in the raw photograph. So that some details were apparent in the moon. I then combined this moon image with one at normal brightness to brighten the edges of the moon.

I redrew by tracing the shiolutte and the halo. So I'm not even sure if this classify as a photograph any longer but I'm happy with it.

EDIT:
I'm not sure If this show go here or in the share your shot section. Probably the latter. I don't really have any specific questions just a vague how do I improve on this. Maybe should I have stuck with black and white.

Well I like everything but the halo...it's a cool treatment and feels like a movie poster or something.

Hi, thanks for sharing. With the treatment, I think the photo conveys a very gloomy feeling. The background also is a bit distracting. I guess the composition did not work for me.

Cheers!

How would I improve on the halo in your opinion or should I just make the whole background a constant shade? I mean the origional lighting was by the moon halo so I would find it difficult to remove the concept completely (not enough details on the lower part of the tower to reproduce accurately.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Just to clarify the background is everything except the moon. Or the bright area surrounding the moon?

One other questions. If I get criticism am I allowed post a new version to this part of the forum? To see if the processing has improved in peoples optinions?

I like the gradation of colour but the rest is grainy while the halo isn't...it just doesn't doesn't seem to fit...the part that draws my eye the most is the bottom part of the halo.
