Default Tree of Dreams - Textured Like Crazy! Thoughts?

Posted this on the "Share Your Shots" section but wanted to put this here too to get a critique as well.

Used some very nice new textures from Florabella Collection. This was originally just a tree I shot on New Years day. The sky was gray and cold and so, with such a neutral background the textures came out nice.

Looking for thoughts and critiques. You can click on the photo for a bigger version.

I like this.

I feel like the only niggle, if i had to pick one, would be the lighter areas seem to bracket the tree, but feel disconnected to the top and bottom of the frame. i would like to see some of that lighter colour at the bottom of the frame, or taken away from the right side. does that make sense? probably not.

that strong blurb of yellow on the left just draws my eye too much.

In a compostion like this the background plays a huge role. Sure, the dendritic form of the tree creates some wonderful lines, suggestive of veins and capillaries, but this would not have been nearly the same image with a flat background. As it is, the background could not have been better. This is an amazingly effective composition and I would not hesitate frame it where everyone can see.
