Question My second HDR (Szentendre) - opinions on colours and contrast

Hi folks,

this is my second HDR from Szentendre. It took me a lot of time to adjust the colour and temperature of light in Photomatix and later in PS to make it look realistic and not over saturated. It was combined out of three exposures, taken with D60 at 24mm, f11, ISO100, on tripod with shutter delay. Shutter speeds were 2, 10 and 25 seconds.

What do you think about the lights (colour and saturation), and what do you think about the overall contrast?

I'm not sure why this is happening, but when I open the photo on my computer (the jpeg version) it looks muuch better than on flickr, both in terms of contrast and clarity.

How do I get by this? Any other comments are welcome. Thanks

This is quite a good shot with good atmosphere...would have liked to see the church tower stand out a bit more...contrast looks ok and the lighting is very good....It could also do with a little straightening....Paul

Thank you aspencade for the comments, I did light up the church tower as you said and it does look much better. And please explain what do you mean by straightening it? I suppose that's not just rotating it, but I don't know how to do straitening yet. What parts should be straitened, etc..

Thanks!

The building on the left is leaning IN and the tower is leaning to the right....if you use photoshop you can free transform so that the verticles are straight...I think this will make the picture more pleasing.....Paul

That looks much better straightened up, in my opinion.

Yes, it does look much better that way! Thanks aspencade, I'll try to do it myself.
I didn't even notice that building and the tower are leaning in. You always learn something new..

OK, I did it, after experimenting a bit with the crop tool (and learning how to use it for straightening ) and I also added some more contrast and changed hue and saturation. I think it looks much better now. What do you think?

P.S. This attachment doesn't show the actual quality of the image, it seems to be very much compressed.

Edit: Here it is on Flickr:
