Default Vignette?

I was trying different effects including B&W and vignette. Do you suggest a different effect?

I like this, and think black and white is suitable. Think the vignette would look better a little softer, perhaps try feathering the edges more, its a bit hard right now.

That's not a vignette, that's looking through a peep hole. Does this shot even need a vignette? It looks pretty strong on its own. As it is, that dark black arch at the top of the frame totally distracts from what looks like an evocative photo.

I agree if you want a vignette, I would make it more subtle by reducing the opacity of the vignette layer. It is a very nice BW.

thanks, i realize the vignette is very hard
i was using iphoto and they dont have potions for the intensity of the vignette
ill try some other potions

I hate to jump on the band wagon but I agree, the shot is strong enough it doesn't need it. nice contrast too.
