Default Mountain lake

MountainLake
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 5.8 mm
Exposure: 0.00

This is a photo I took with my point and shoot about a year ago. I worked it over extensively in photoshop to give it that "old timey" look. I would appreciate any feedback.

It definitely looks "Old Timey" in a sort of "God, those old time cameras were crap. Thank god we have much better cameras now" sort of way.

As I never saw the original image, its hard to say what it is you are trying to achieve. I like to look at a picture and it tell me what it SHOULD BE. I may have an Idea of an image I’m trying to create, but know when the image isn’t right for that idea.

I think the effect you gave took a lot of work, BUT its not right for this particular photo. I’m guessing it would have had much more “pop” in vibrant colour or a high contrast B & W with a sun burst popping up from behind the mountains.

Hope this helps

Warmly

Christian

I am not keen in the reverse vignette. I think it distracts from the image instead of adds to it. It kinda washes out the sky which was already kinda blown out.
