Default A ring with love!

A friend of mine is getting married and I told him I would take a few pictures blah, blah....I like this idea and I've seen it before. This was a practice run, just want to get comments on how the vignetting looks, to you. Also, I want to know if you would be stoked on a friend giving you and your wife a picture like this. And does the bottom leftish look to blown out? Does it draw your attention away from the ring?

Exposure: 25
Aperture: f/36.0
Focal Length: 50 mm
Exposure: +0.33

That lighter area does draw my attention, and it seems to be highlighting the definition of 'loud mouthed'. One of them might take offense to that......The vignetting looks fine to me, though. Maybe you can try to compose it so the highlighted area falls on the definition of 'love'.

That's very nice ! Same as Bryan, I would emphasis the word love, and maybe have the ring a little less dark. Pretty nice composition though.

Good idea...I never thought of highlighting the word. But now to think of it, the soon to be wife is kinda a loud mouth.

I'd use more light.

I tried this a year or two ago.

You could use the text of the bible that are about love... instead of loud mouth...

Well, I won't use loudmouth, obviously. But using something from the bible would be hard. Firstly, I don't have one in my house. Secondly, I try not to read fiction.

You might consider if your client likes the Bible...hhmm maybe ? Or if not, you could get a poem or something, print it and fold it into a book for this photo. There are tons of public domain poems on love that i am sure would be cool for this.

or you could just use the word love in the dictionary if you dont want to go through that hassle, as simple as it may be
