Default Yin Yang in the Sky

Camera: Canon PowerShot S5 IS
Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/7.1
Focal Length: 6 mm
ISO Speed: 80
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

I processed this shot in PaintShop ProX2. It was taken on Pensacola Beach, FL as a tropical storm was passing through. I am very new to photography, but I have a friend who has been giving me pointers along the way. I'm just asking for general feedback on this piece. Is it too much processing? Is the composition ok? Etc. Any feedback is helpful. I have more photos from this same shoot on my Flickr account. Feel free to visit and critique! Flickr: ~*MickyLynn*~'s Photostream

I think the blown out portion of the sky draws your eye too much from the subject. I find myself wanting to look at the top left corner. Maybe a crop would help it.

I like this shot. Dramatic sky always draws me into a picture. I do agree however that large blown out patch in the top left corner makes it hard to settle into though.

I took a copy from your flickr page and poked around in PS with it, cropped the top corner, and then dropped the brightness, increased the contrast to pop the clouds a little more, and used the healing brush at a low opacity to tone down the blown out section. My point was to try and calm down that blinding streak... maybe try something along those lines. I don't have time to really do it justice, but it was going where I wanted it to!

Beautiful shot from a beautiful set though.

I think it's gorgeous! Especially since I live in Pensacola!
