I actually like it. I think the sky with clouds is too dark, maybe if you could tweek the tint so the blue is a little closer to the bottom photo. I think you need the clouds to tone down the amount of blue in the sky, and the blue overall is a little bright/florescent.

I like the balance of the stands and people, it creates great movement, and the predominant colors of red, white, and blue (with a few splashes of yellow to keep it interesting).

I think it is a keeper with just a little more tweeking.

For me personally I like the grunge setting a lot. I like the artistic look of some of the overly processed HDR images (sometimes...if it's done right.)

And you definitely got a very cool artistically styled shot going. I like it.

Maybe you can sell it to Coca-Cola for the 4th of July!

Thanks, both of you. I did a third one with another sky that you can see on my flickr. It has it's plusses and minus. I will probably print one of them.

I agree. I'd definitely give Coca-Cola a shot!

This is an interesting photo. I would say that you definitely accomplished your goals. Even on flickr at large size I do not really notice a halo. I think the intensity of the color in the street scene really takes over and halos and the like are not all that noticeable. Now then, does it work for me personally. Mixed feelings here. As a photo its a bit gaudy; yet, as a wall mural or some specific application I think it would be quite excellent. So in my opinion, it pretty much depends upon how you display your work as to whether or not it works for me.
