Was there something you didn't like about the image? Why did you take the picture? Why did you colorize the image? What did you blur the edges?

I like the photo, but it was my first trying to take photos with out them being set-up ahead of time and of someone else. We just happened to walk down to the barn and my nephew started playing on the log, so I thought I would photograph him while he wasn't paying attention. I am not exactly sure why I colored the photo. I was just trying a bunch of different things with it and I like it best with the blurred edges and with this color. This was my first time really playing around with editing options. I just wanted to know if it looked good or if I should have done something different with it.

Pictures were taken with a Nikon CoolPix L3.

I'm sorry, but the color and blur do NOT work!!!! I can see a distinct line where the blur begins. I'm trying to imagine what the original looks like, but it might actually look good as a black and white photo.

In your album online your colour version looks heaps better! The colours are so vibrant, I 'd keep with that one and lower the blur it's just a bit too strong for me ! This sort of finish looks better on old buildings or like the barn shot you had! Great effort> it's all a fun learning curve! Also if your nephew had looked at you it would have more merit!

Thanks! I do love the color one and was happy how well it came out. I made this one for my mother in law. I do wish he would have looked at the camera. I think it would have added a little extra something to it. I am having fun learning and growing. This site has really made me try harder and learn to be more creative. I take my camera with me every where and tend to see everything as a photo op. I sit there and think of ways I could capture certain things to make it stand out. Thanks for all comments and help. I am learning and appreciate the time every one takes to help.
