Okay all, I need your input...
I've messed with it for too long! I like it, but something doesn't seem quite right. I like the texture/border, I like the color of it, but I just don't know...does it work? Should I do something different? Is it cropped too tight? I did do some processing on her face, lips and eyes. Her lips were quite chapped, so i tried to smooth those out. Also, tried to make her eyes pop and really draw your attention. Any C&C about those are welcome as well. Thanks so much for looking and any/all feedback would be greatly appreciated! ![]() 0.017 sec (1/60), f/5.6, 34 mm, ISO 400, 0 EV, Flash: On, Fired (popup flash bounced w/ biz card to ceiling)

The processing doesn't look too strong to me, I think it's a beautiful portrait, well done.

Thank you, Anna. After I posted it I realized the main problem I was having with the texture is that I had "overlayed" it, instead of "multiplied" it in my palette. The change made a big difference, as it looked so cloudy, for lack of a better term, before.
I'm happier with it now, but would still appreciate any comments/critique on the image and the processing. Thanks so much!!

You did a great job! The only other thing I might add is to tone down the shine on her face. I usually do this by using the clone tool set to darken and clone with a low opacity level.
Or use the drop tool to pick and area of the skin that would match the area of the cheek and then paint over it. At a low opacity level as well

Hadn't really noticed it until you mentioned it. Thanks for the techniques to correct as well.
