Default At the beach. First HDR Attempt

Hello everyone.
Yet another first attempt at HDR post.

Well I'm open to any kind of suggestion, I am especially interested in comments relating to the post processing/tone mapping. If anyone has any compositional ideas I am interested as well. Is my horizon in a bad place?

3 Shots. Middle shot was 1/1000s at 7.1. Rebel T1i

Hi there. I like what you have done in terms of the level of HDR processing. Compositionally, I would change the level of the horizon, and think about the golden mean/ rule of thirds on this one. Maybe take a little away from the sandy area (The clouds are great!). I think that is all is needed, and remember, that is only one opinion. Everyone has a bias/ philosophy. Thanks for sharing this shot!

I like the contrast between the sand and the clouds, I might mask the sand and tone it down a bit, but overall good job

Captweez, from HDR stand point it looks good, from composition stand point IMO I would move the horizon from the center given more sand or more clouds
thanks

I too would move the horizon down and have less sand. Remember to turn off auto focus and auto white balance for your shots, it will increase the sharpness and contrast.
