I can sure see the effect you were going for but for me it just isnt working. For an abstract it may work fine. For me just too much red and would honestly like to see the front of the car more than the back.
Try for aless busy backgroiund as well Sure is fun to mess around and see all the different techniques you can come up with. I can see this working very well in another situation

Thanks Windrider86 for your comments, let me tell you that sometimes cars are designed in a very strange manner, sometimes back is more interestign than front and viceversa. in this case back is better than front, more robust. I will try to reduce background too.
In what kind of situation you may think it work better? Art

I think I'd be tempted to try masking out the background and the tires and applying the processing to only the car itself.

Im going to have to sort of disagree with you on the back being better looking than the front on this one sir. Not that the back is ugly at all, but that front is just... drool.
I dont know what you did with this pic but I think I know what youre going for. Like this right? ![]() You can make the car look crazy like that without messing up the background and the colors. What exactly did you do whilst editing this pic?

TW0R, despite the front grill looks agressive, I like the back better than the front as I mentioned to windrider86, anyway a lot of different tastes.
Going down in the pic, yes, a kind of your example, the problem was that I shot from my SUV, I did not have time to look for the best angle, it is not a justification, but how it happened. What did I do? well, I used 3 jpg pics with different tones, I did a HDR to merge it, I played with tone mapping, finally I used color balance moving the red to the highest twice and there you are, a liquid metal car!! Thanks Art
