I tried my hands on GIMP with the few techniques I learnt on DPS.
Is the photo oversaturated? How is the composition? How could I have processed it to make it better? [IMG] [/IMG]EXIF: ExposureTime - 1/1000 seconds FNumber - 5.60 ExposureProgram - Manual control ISOSpeedRatings - 100 FocalLength - 105.00 mm

I like the composition of the shot.. but like you said.. the colors are little over-saturated.. It doesn't look natural.. I never used GIMP.. but it might have something to saturate particular colors rather than the whole picture.. because I guess that's what you wanted to do..

RawHulk, PowerPix,
Thanks for your comments. Let me know if the embedded photo looks better. jbstack28, Thanks for taking time to comment. I kept the top left to have some positive space for the aircrafts. Let me know what you think about this photo. is it better? [IMG]

This looks better.. but I guess you can still do some minor adjustments.. Like powerpix said.. you could increase the brightness.. or fill light a little.. and then de-saturate the sky color a little.. that might have a very good contrast..
right now.. both the plane and the sky look very much of the same color.. was that the actual sky color when you took the shot.. ?
