Default Surfs Up

Have tried to bring back the beautiful winter sky. Had a polariser which meant that throught the viewfinder all looked great. Once home things still looked washed out. I'm not sure if I've gone a bit too far with the manipulation or not.

I'm going to go ahead and parrot what Japaslavian said here:

"That question" being "Does it look overprocessed?" In answer to your self-question, I also have to agree. The blues are great in the sky in the first picture, but in the sea they look harsh and artificial in the second and third picture. In fact, in the second picture I see waaaay too much blue in the upper left hand corner.

I'm sure there are some non-destructive ways to enhance blues with tutorials on those methods. I assume when you said "manipulation" you meant Photoshop. Did you use levels, or...?

Thanks for the comment. Back to the drawing board. I did all of the processing in PS using the RAW converter. I knew a fresh set of eyes would be better than mine after looking at them for so long.
