Default Sepia portrait

How do you find the edit here - did I go too far? I tried to get an old film-like feel.
The title for the picture is "Please"...

Also, feel free to comment & give pointers about the composition, lighting and other issues regarding the original as well.

Take a look at the larger resolution versions at Flickr, added a film grain to the sepia version.

Edited:

Compare that with the original.

Leica D-LUX 4
Manual exposure: 1/640 sec, f/5.6

Flash: On (forced)

Is this image supposed to be a sepia toned image? I don't think it is. I also looked at the image on your flickr site and that is also a black and white photo.

Yeah, agreeing with Trader, doesn't seem to be sepia. The girl's expression is darling, but the darkness surrounding her head bothers me, it almost looks like she's being swallowed up.

It's toned by NIK Silver Efex to a very light sepia tone. It is not a classical sepia - but it is not a pure black & white either. The smaller image has a link to the Flickr version.
The original picture (the text link) is pure black & white, as it came from the camera.

I agree the very dark surroundings do make the picture a bit weird or scary. Oh well, have to continue testing NIK for other pictures.

The picture is adorable, but like the others, I think the dark around the edges is a little too dark. I just suggest lightening it up a little bit, other than that, it's darling!

If it were my pic, I'd be happy with the results.
