Default I think you've had enough....

Took this while my family was relaxing in the pool and played around with it in GIMP...

It's obviously an overly processed image, but does it work like that? Is it too vivid, or does the processing not help the image? Sorry I don't really have anything more specific to ask than that... anything you can tell me would be wonderful.

I really like the colors of the can and even tho it should be turend to see the name it's fine. Now the background on the ohter hand is fighting tooth and nail for attention from that can.
I would tone down the background Perhaps make the colors more even and get rid of the bright white spots) and leave the can alone.

I love the intensity and sharpness of the can. On the other hand, I agree with windrider86 about the backgrond... especially with so much space on the left, it's just crying for attention. This is both because of the shapes which are sort-of visible, and the strong colors in there. You might try toning it down a little in post-procession... we'll see!

You guys are definitely right. Is this attached photo the right direction, or should I tone down the background even more/go a different direction with the background?
