Default Motion through HDR

Hi,

My wife took these and wanted to get an unusual type of motion combined with vibrant colours so she used HDR. I think they're great but she's not so sure.

Any comments and suggestions welcome.

HDR is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques. Is that what you are saying this is?

It is HDR but primarily for the multiple exposure effect when people are moving.

this photo doesn't scream HDR nor does it look HDR. if an HDR image was the intent this falls short of that. but i do kinda like the ghost effect

Exactly right, the scene does not need HDR as there is not a wide dymanic range. The aim was to see the effects on moving people so the ghosting is what she was looking for.

Here's another one which I posted on a different thread which probably shows the ghosting/motion better:

Unusual Mothion Blur
