Default Opinions

I just downloaded a new plug in from Topaz (Clean 2) that smooths over skin along with some cartoonish looking things. I'm debating if her skin looks normal or not .. anyone ?
Thanks
Sue

Honestly, Sue....it does look over-processed. Do you have an original?

Edited to add: I looked at the large version on Flickr - I can't put my finger on what it is...maybe the fuzziness around her hairline?

It certainly gives it a texture. If that part of it could be toned down a bit, then I think it would be perfect.

I'm moving this to post processing critique forum.

Looks like there are still pores and peach fuzz still visable on the skin which is a good thing. Some skin retouch just makes the skin look too much like plastic.

I threw up the original .... This is from the other day when she gave me her 5 minutes. I was messing with the lights so it is not perfectly exposed by any means.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I should which one to put it in.

I think you might be on to something I'll try to tone it down and see

I have no clue what that peach fuzz is !! Her skin in the original is really blotchy and just not nice looking

Sue - maybe if you toned down the PP a bit, so just some of the natural look of her skin shows?

I see the look you were going for, that nice creamy, porcelain doll look - but it just does seem a bit over the top, especially after seeing the original.

She's really pretty by the way - GORGEOUS eyes!

Thanks Sue .... She is a bit ratty looking in that pic but you work with what you get lol

I tried to back it off, there is a fine line with that program when I can't see any blotches it goes to how it looks in the first pic. I dont' like still seeing them ...

It still looks off to me ..

Perhaps it is just that this program either isn't going to work or I still need to fine tune my skills with it

The new one is definitely an improvement - but it seems the program gives a funky texture to the whole picture (the texture of her skin is the same as her shirt - do you see what I mean?).

Looks like a fun tool to play with, though! I'd keep messing around with it.

I also got clean 2 and it does the same for me...i think its best to soften in topaz adjust rather than clean.
