Default St. Peters in HDR

I am keep practicing some HDR, although apparently totally outdated now I would love to get the hang of it properly and I dont think I have done with this. C+C very welcome, especially the criticism part of it as I am thinking of submitting a similarly processed image into a competition next year. Thanks for looking and taking the time in advance. xxx

I think you did a real nice job with this. The only problem I have with it is that blown out window in the very center of the shot. My eye is drawn to the strong white light and gets stuck there. The rest of the exposure is excellent.

Yes.. you are right and the highlights in the left and right edges are quite blown out too. I tried to bring them back but no chance lol. Its the first time I tried the indoors photography / hdr technique as a practice for going to liverpool soon and I want to do the cathedral there. But not sure how to do it yet. xx

One thing you can try is to take one or two extra shots and make one very over exposed and the other very under exposed. Then in your processing the HDR image, use them to correct any problems like this that come up. I also have found that using the same aperature produces the same depth of field making the processing easier and sometime sharper. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for the good advice Trader, especially about the extra shots. Good idea and I will try that when shooting my next HDR xx

I think you may need to crop abit off the tops of the bench in the foreground so that it leads you down the isle.I think colours are great I would try to enhance the glass windows alittle extra.
