Question Flower shadows

This flower was in my pool and I thought the shadow looked very interesting. I took some pictures and I edited this one a lot. Do you think there's to much noise? Is the crop fitting for the picture? Also, do you like the black and white?

i can see what you liked about the flower's shadow.....it's a good counter balance for your azalea bloom.....i think you cropped well for what you saw....but i wonder how you'd feel about it with a counter-clockwise rotation where the flower is facing towards the top of the frame.... portrait oriented...

i took a look at the original color version and i have to say i like it much better than your conversion.....the pale pink plays nicely off the teals in the pool....and the gradiations of color are a delicate marvel that is lost in the black and white.....

I like the color version better also. I'd also like to see the full shadow and not as much of that blank space on the right.
