Default dream catcher's feathers

Hi!
Is it over processed? Is the black background too dark, does the image seem flat becouse of it? Any other coment would be great too .
Thanx!

I think the black background works but there is WAY too much noise in the photo. Why did you shoot it with in ISO of 1600? If you can position the feather so it does not move and mount your camera on a tripod try shooting at an ISO of 100.

I agree - too much noise. I don't mind a bit of grain to add to the mood of the shot, but I think the fact that it's saturated, full-color noise, makes it look like it was a mistake rather than intentional. I like the background and composition though.

I actually like the noise. Accidental or not. I believe it worked out just fine.

I like the abstract feel of this image. How was the scene lit, what were you trying to convey? I think lighting here will make or break an image especially in still life. I do find the noise particularly the red color noise to be distracting but this could easily be corrected with different lighting and using a tripod at low ISO.

first of all.. thanx for taking the time to comment on my shot

well... my friend gave me a dream catcher for a present when she came back from indiana, ever since then my dreams actually got worse ... my dreams are usualy verry weird, scattered and confusing, so considering the fact that I wasnt taking a picture of an ordinary feather but a dream catcher's feather I didn't want it to be all sharp and pretty, I wanted it to represent my dreams as they usually are: full of noise, intense color and withought much sense....

..the lighting was noting special, I used my desk lamp
