Default flute edited picture

I wanted to go for an old picture kind of feel. One of my friends said it looked kind of grainy. I was wondering what you thought of the picture over all and if the editing was to much?

I actually like the coloring and the graininess - actual old photos ARE grainy. When I give my own photos a vintage look, I purposely add noise. I'm not big on the rounded edges though. Somewhere there's a thread here on how to give photos a vintage look, if I can find it I'll add it in here.

I say well done for the most part!

Edit: Here is that thread.

The flat colors seem to be working for you. I might try to give the paper a little more white to them so they don't look so yellow, just to give the entire image a little more contrast. Only because every highlight you have right now is that exact same color. You might add some white back into parts of the flower too.
And I agree, ditch the rounded corners. If only looks good if you take the time to match the white squared off part to the color of the background of the website its sitting on, or if you cut it off with scissors in print.

Have you thought about sort of stacking the papers, putting the rose on top and then part of the flute????? Maybe part with the keypads? I think it'll be a better photo.more tighter. As it is now, my eye is traveling about 360 degrees around the photo trying to find the center of interest.

I really like the picture but maybe you could find a different angle to take the picture at. Some of the papers are extremely close to the flute which in my opinion ruins the effect. I love you kathryn btw =)

I like this one. It reminds me of those old cards that i use to receive when i was younger.

anyway, if there owuld be a bit (just a bit of detail) on the notes.

and some of the papers are facing down... ^^

but good job on this one. ^^
