Default Two Lips to the Sun (First HDR)

OK, this is my first try with the intent to make an HDR from the outset. I used a single RAW shot because I didn't bring the tripod and it was windy. I sometimes feel that HDR's look kind of dark. Any advice on processing this? All I did was up the contrast a bit and lighten a bit and just a smidge on saturation.

Nice use of tone mapping here, not really HDR since you created it from a single exposer. Sparing the technical details on HDR I think the contrast and color saturation look really nice here. My recommendation is to crop out the flower in the foreground that is out of focus on the right of the frame and perhaps crop the top of the sky a little as well. I like how the leading line formed by the flowers leads into the sunset; nice touch.

Next time try getting just a little bit lower to place the flowers against the blue sky and see how that works, may not look as nice but always worth experimenting with slight changes in perspective.

Thank you for sharing

This is absolutely gorgeous and seemingly perfect in every way. Nice job!!! Love the angle, the colors, the sunbeams...the sky...everything!

Default Thanks, do you agree with moderator?

Thanks folks, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes!

I am really interested (if anyone stops by again) in whether you agree that the big blurry flower on the right needs to be cropped out. I totally respect the opinion of the moderator because I have learned so much and don't really know anything, but a couple folks have said to crop it out and some have said leave it.

Now I am not sure what to do!

I agree with Murtasma, that OOF flower needs to be cropped. It may not be evident from the image size you have posted, but if I look at the large size image I find my eye drawn to that first. But it is a good conversion to HDR, crop or no crop. Great job, AlphaBjerke.
