Default Attempting HDR wihtout LOOKING HDR..

I know if this is picked over pixel by pixel it WILL look fakey. But if I were to get this printed as say an 8x10 would it retain some realism? My goal is HDR without the cartoony look to it.

ANY advice that can be given regarding this would be appreciated. Oh, and compositional advice on this would be welcomed of course!

I think with just a couple of tweeks it would look fine. Lighten up the kid just a hair so it doesnt blend in so much. Lose the power lines.
otherwise it doesnt look too bad
